Holas! Im new to Long Beach from New York. As soon as I moved to the neighborhood I connected with The Center. As I blossom more into my presence as a Latina transgender, I sought support from The Center. All the staff and members have been incredibly amazing. What was just a small mustard seed of an idea in relocating to Long Beach and connecting with the LGBTQ community, is now becoming a full fledged reality. I am so grateful for the services being offered and the comfort I feel being in my new LGBTQ Center "home."

I have been in 2 hate crimes last year and long beach has been so helpful, lived everywhere in california, the staff is awesome.they pay attention. if there was a god.besides oneself, the center definitely.my buddah luck charm Thank you.. Most recently. Helped with so much, volunteers listen to you. Very supportive If anything questions meetings, rooms jobs, testing, computers...cant go wrong go here LA center...not very.nice... LB center... Epic

Someone just stole my book bag at the Long Beach Gay & Lesbian Center...I got about as much service & concern from the volunteers at the front desk as would wait. There was no service. No concern. Thank God all important information was in my pocket. I know we are responsible for our belongs. But at least get out your seat...Mmmmm makes me wonder why I dont see more people who look like me here...Just saying...

I needed std testing for everything for the first time, and I did not know what to expect. I lost my health insurance and I did have to pay for this myself, but I learned so much about my health and how to protect myself in the future it was well worth it. Now I will put some money back so I can be checked when I need to be, and quit worrying about it. Happy in Long Beach

Went in for an HIV test. Very quick and easy, and informative. The receptionist was polite and straightforward, as were the workers. Its important to get tested not only for HIV but other STDs as well (: recommended it 100%

The Center is A very wounderful place for comunity ivolvement and volunteering and has alot of resources availible to the public and privte cultures and Organizations, Its my Home Away from home..

Support groups can be kinda cliquey, but generally, everyone is nice and they are a safe place to discuss LGBT issues. Take note that many people do show up to the groups high and intoxicated.
