At 54 yrs. old I dont expect surprises from a week long trip to a neighboring state. I have pretty much been the length and breadth of Ca. Some beautiful country. Then we recently spent 5 days at Mazzocco Winery. They have a 3 bedroom cottage with ample space inside for a large family or two. Outside is a beautiful deck, BBQ facilitiy, Horseshoes and Bocce ball. All within the deck coverage area. The view is priceless, the operations folks are delightful. Antoine is a pleasure to watch moving thru the barrels to bring back samples of his unique treasures. The tasting staff were superb. A surprise is an understatement. I long to return.

Have been a club member for many years. Of special note, we heard they were doing one of the monthly concerts while vacationing in the area. We called without reservations (or lawn chairs) and was treated and greeted with such appreciation I just have to say I was blown away. Call me old fashioned, but give me the personal touch and the universe is a better place. I keep enjoying there wine and singing their praise. The perfect combination of quality (the wine) and karma! Highly recommend

If you like Zins, go here! If you want to learn about Zins because you are new to them, go here! This is a gorgeous tasting room & winery area that really focuses on Zins, the original grapes of the Dry Creek Valley. And their Zins actually are delicious!

I found the staff very impersonal in the wine tastings. We asked for water and were given a glass to go and get water outside. I guess if youre not a member, youre not special enough. We actually returned to the other winery to buy our wine.

Reserved cab is excellent #1 on my list always! Zins are fabulous too. Beautiful winery, gardens,etc. Lovely place to visit
