Hop Kiln is one of my favorite wineries to stop at when I bring out of town friends to Sonoma County. They dont have too vast a selection, which means they really put time into each wine (many of which are medal winners). They have a great price range, and its very easy to walk out with half a case. Im partial to their rose and sparkling rose, but the three pinots are nice to side-by-side. The tasting room isnt too big, but the exterior is beautiful, and theres a nice view. As estate wines, all the grapes are grown on site, and having a map of where the blocks are is very, very nice to see where what youre drinking came from.

Had to go with 4 stars, as we will see what happens. Loved it when it was Hop Kiln Winery. Now that Landmark has bought it, we will see what they make as far as wine. When we visited in November 2016 they were only tasting wine from other Landmark wineries, nothing from the estate.

Great place for a picnic lunch and beverage, available in the tasting room. Sample some of the most refined Estate Grown Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio wines available.
