For the price I paid I have had a much nicer and more updated room at one of the discount chains. I stayed for a work function for only a night. The buildings you stay in are condo style and look to be slightly older. I did have a nice view of one of the golf courses from my window on the second story but did not have a balcony. There was no fridge in my room and one of the lights by the sink was not working. Besides that the wifi worked great and the tv was good. They provide a paper every morning for a price unless you call the front desk and cancel it (I called late at night but no one picked up). The lobby and check in were a bit hard to find at first in the dark, but it is beautiful inside and everyone was very polite and helpful. The check in was very quick and easy. I can not comment on the pools because I didnt get to try them, but from the pictures they look awesome. I dont golf so I cant comment on that either but they supposedly have a great course. I do fish and was able to get over to one of their lakes and had an absolute blast for a few hours. Make sure you get out early because the fish were tearing it up. It looks like there is a bunch of people who live at the resort as well and they were all very nice. The dining options on the resort looked very nice but well above my price point, but the surrounding area had many good options for restaurants. Overall this resort seems like it was top notch a decade or two ago but may still be worth it to an avid golfer who wants to spend more time on the greens then in the room.

Weve only been here a day so far but are enjoying it. The accomodations are pretty decent, the kitchen in the suites is well stocked but the deluxe rooms dont even come with a mini-fridge. We also have three closets but not drawers, and the bathroom is kind of small for a long suite. Were looking forward to all of the on-site activities though - nature preserve, fishing, biking, pool and tennis. The resort as a whole is spacious and pleasant to walk around in, but it could use some updating. EDIT: After a few days, revised my rating from 4/5 to 3/5. While housekeeping and staff are great, other things leave a lot to be desired. The Loch Ness pool is awesome, with a slide and waterfalls and great decorations, but the other pools are were meh. The fishing and tennis cost a ridiculous amount extra ($25 for a court? When theres hardly anyone in the resort?) The nature preserve area was boarded up so we couldnt even enjoy that. The rooms have a musty nursing home smell. Weve just been overall very disappointed by this place. It just doesnt really offer the level of amenities we were expecting. Ive stayed at other resorts and they were more modern, had a lot more activities, and the rental fees for equipment were nominal. Not coming back.

Hotel resort perfeito, limpo e calmo!

I tried to cancel a reservation 2 weeks before my stay via email as I am going to stay with friends in a suite instead. The directions indicated I would receive a confirmation email. It never came and I did not want a room charge on my charge card that I did not use. I called at 12:34 a.m. to try to verify the cancellation. I was told their system shuts down from 12:30 - 7:00 am. They couldnt double check to see if my emailed cancellation went through and was told to call back after 7:00 am. I called back 4 times after 7:00 am and was not able to get through to reservations. What kind of customer service is this? The desk could not even check to see if the reservation cancelled. The system had me leave a message I do not trust they will call back given my previous experience with their current system. I do not want to have a charge on my credit card for a reservation that I tried several times to cancel well before their 4 days prior policy to the stay. Beware of booking here if you might need to change anything. It is very difficult and not user friendly. They need to change their system.

I recently stayed at this resort with two friends of mine for a quick golf trip. Our first impression of the place was quite a let down only due to the gentlemen we spoke to at the front desk. Just very difficult to work with. We arrived around 11:00am and could not get our second room and was told it should be only a few hours and we would be called when it was ready. We had a tee time of 2:00pm and once golf was over we still didnt receive a call that our room was ready. Needless to say we expressed our displeasure with the front desk manager I believe her name was Landra. I expected to get more of the same but to my surprise she was quite pleasant to deal with and she certainly went the extra mile to help us out. She needed some time to get things in order but she hit a home run and changed our perspective of the resort. If not for her we would not consider returning. She was calm and cool thru the whole process and we finally got our rooms around 8:00pm. If not for our first impression we would have given the resort a five star rating.

The grounds are very nice. They are certainly 5 star. The food is good. The service was ok/marginal.The accomodations are 31/2 star. Very clean just dated. The golf courses were in poor shape. Nice tracks but like every resort that is trying to max profits without putting the needed fertilizer and water, they depend on overseeding with rye grass in the winter. When it burns off in April/May the course looks like it has cancer. The fairways were very poor. The greens were average to sad. So if you are coming for golf ???? On top of that they ran my credit card for an additional $525 bucks when they said they would "hold" $ 200. In other words they lied and they stole money that wasnt theirs. Will I get it back ? Yes Im sure I will in a few days, but why is a major golf resort saying we will hold $200 but take $525 without notifying their guest ? My advise is there are plenty of nice golf resorts here in the south. Unless Copperhead is open for play, consider other locations. At least from April through December.

So this is my second review in consecutive years. Last year my primary complaint was the service. Long waits and ride staff. Were back this year because we come for a junior golf event and quite honestly, its just convenient. The staff this year was much more friendly but the service and amenities remain outdated and poorly maintained. Three floor hotels with no elevator. No offer to assist with our bags and room just plan sucks. The cable was out and took an hour for them to respond. Arrived for buffet breakfast which is readable but not extensive. We showed up with 20 min left in serving and there was virtually no food and no service. We were still charged full freight $35/for two. Still hungry, we stopped at a small market off the restaurant and I bought a 12oz can of soda. $2.50 for the can....now I understand the concept of price discrimination (you know, paying $10 for a beer at a sporting event), but the price of sodeis the same on the course as in the shop. Ridiculous.
