I love museums and had seen the "Money Museum" banner from the 16th street mall more times than I could count, so I was so excited to finally be able to visit. After providing identification and going through security (this is the Federal Reserve after all) I walked around the first floor for a few minutes because the woman at the desk was busy talking to a tourist. When she freed up I asked for a map to the museum, excited to get started. She looked at my blankly, and then laughed. I asked again, and she pointed to the small area I had briefly walked through while waiting to talk to her. "Thats it." She laughed as she sat back down. So...I slowly went through each of the "exhibits" read everything, got some paper and did the metal rubbing activity...and then left. If you have adolescent children, this could be a nice activity to break up your visit to the 16th mall, but to call it a "Museum" is rather generous. Youll likely spend anywhere from 5 minutes to 30 minutes (that is if you need to read/explain to your children.) For adults on their own, you can skip it, unless you really want a free take home small bag of shredded money to prove youve been here.

We were visiting Denver from Florida and happen to see the Museum and wanted to check it out. My kids were super excited. We walked in at 3:44pm and were turned away because they dont take anybody in after a quarter till. After the encounter , we walked outside and saw a digital clock on the street that said 3:45 and we went back in to let them know and they still turned us away. We never make a practice of going to places late, but the Museum sign says 9:30 until 4:00 and no where does it say tours end at 3:45pm. My kids were so devastated. The gentleman working inside told us(disrespectively) to go to the one in Florida which is inconviently hours from our home and hours from where were staying now. We are so disappointed !!!

Its a small museum at a great location. Btw the admission is free! I recommend this museum for those who love and not love money. Its a great museum for kids and foreigners too. Kids can show their creativity here by taking part in drawing and photo shoot on a dollar bill. Its a good first lesson for kids out there. Theres a movie room for those who like to learn more about the history. Although you dont plan to go to any museums in Denver, the moment you walk on the street here, you feel that you need to make a stop at this museum and find lots of money! They give away "free money" at the entrance. No kidding!

I am 21 years old and I had a blast at this money museum! You shouldve seen me acting like a little kid making my own money and celebrating getting my free shredded money hahaha! I had no shame! It was such a fun experience and it was definitely worth the stop. We went completely out of our way to go and I say it is totally worth it. Dont miss it.

Ok, its a museum about money, so calm down with the "its boring" nonsense. It is, however, interesting. We spent maybe 45 minutes walking around, got a bag of shredded cash which was pretty cool and then made our way onward. Its a good time. Def worth it if you want to get inside for a little and learn a little something.

Its not the most exciting museums but personally I found it super interesting and cool. I felt like I learned a lot of history and fun facts I didnt know before. If your in the area it is free so you might as well make time to check it out, you can walk out with a free bag of shredded bills on your way out as a souvenir

Definitely not big enough for what I would have liked it to be, but very educational and a great way to kill 20 minutes in the area. Educational video, free "bag of money" and some nice information around the little area. Learn a lot, but not a place to plan the day around by any means.

Interesting museum about money and the Federal Reserve. Fairly small museum and you do have to go through security to get into the building. However, you get to leave with a souvenir bag of old, shredded money.

It wad great seeing currency over the past 200 plus years. Or more precisely, who knew that we only got currency during the Civil War? This was one of many interesting facts learned at this small museum.

Its a very informative place with plenty of cool activities that help you learn about money. Just about all of the displays are interactive. You can also get a free bag of shredded money on your way out.

Not much to see. The $30,000,000 display was a stack of blank paper with a few $100 bills on top. If youre walking by stop in for a few minutes, it is free, but dont go out of your way to go there.

Boring and small, Not worth youre time. Anyone who loves this place must also enjoy watching paint dry. Go to the Denver Mint, if you wanna learn about and see money.

Fun and brief museum on federal reserve. Be sure to get your free bag of money before leaving. That is a bag of shredded money. :)

Boring! One tiny display after going through airport-style security. More propaganda by the federal reserve than actual museum.

Very interesting but it is incredibly small. All the guards were very professional. Best of all, its free and educational.
