I just had an interesting experience at Cornerstar. We received a Cornerstar Liquor ad in the mail that included 12 packs of Guinness, Harps and Smithwick discounted $4 to the price of $11.99. Nice sale and I like both Guinness and Smithwicks. I loaded up a shopping cart and headed to the checkout where I was told the sale pertained to a single 12 pack only. None of us in the store could find anything the ad that mentioned only a single 12 pack purchase per customer The clerk went to the manager with my problem and returned with the decision...one single 12 pack, period.. I decided not to purchase anything and as I was leaving a woman manager called to me from her lofty perch in the corner of the store and she would allow the purchase just this one time. I called back to her and replied you made your decision and Ive made mine. I will return to Cornerstar one more and final time to redeem the $40 credit I have accumulated as a member. Then Ill be done with them. False advertising and no customer service cost them at least one good customer plus as many as I can tell my story to.

Not impressed at all. I was looking for some empty wooden boxes to decorate my wine cellar. After making a humble request to take an empty box home with me, I was told "no" in an extremely unprofessional and derogatory manner (perhaps they receive this request frequently). This was while my wife was in the process of buying several hundred dollars worth of wine. I buy quite a bit of wine wine every month and am pretty familiar with most of the larger liquor stores in town. If you are looking for fair prices and want to be treated like a human being, I would consider going elsewhere. Two fantastic alternatives that are well worth the extra drive consist of Heritage Wine and liquor on Arapahoe or Davidsons Liquor on County line road. Both of these establishments have a great selection, good prices and most importantly care about their customers.

This place used to be my go to store. Sadly, after their Black Friday Bourbon County Stout release I can no longer give them my business and I would discourage anyone else from shopping there. The night before the release two different employees told me that the BCBS Rare would be available for purchase and that they had a case in store. Fast forward to release day and the cashier said that the GM called 10 minutes before the release to let them know that they were all sold out of the RARE. Hmm 10 minutes before? SHADY! The GM later admitted that they sold one bottle of RARE to a phone customer for $1,000. NICE!!!!! Messing with rare beer releases is the quickest way possible to ensure that loyal customers dont return. I know I wont be back.

I also cant believe the negative reviews. Im convinced they were written by rival stores. They dont pay bills? How does that affect you, the customer? And every liquor store Ive been in has always asked for everyones id. Wait in your damn car if youre under age, and talk to your buddy on your cell if he needs to tell you what flavor of Mikes Hard they have. That said, the cashiers are incredibly nice and talkative. Ill admit, I like cheaper whiskey, but when buying it at other places, they treat me like crap and I dont go back because of that. Ill drive a few extra miles for the hospitality Cornerstar offers. And free beer tasting every Friday!

I have been to this liquor store a few times and never have had a good experience. Today me my wife and kids go went to dinner at Real De Minas. They drop me off so I can get a six pack of beer. I look at the selection and a clerk Jack comes to me and harasses me for the ids for everyone in my car. What kind of establishment does this. I have never had an experience in my life like this. It was very embarrassing to me and other people in the store and threaten me with calling the police. I will never go here again and will not recommended this place to anyone that treats their customers in this fashion. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!

Terrible! The selection is terrible, the prices are nothing to boast about, and the customer service is atrocious, and downright non-existant (no one around to help, and rude and put out when you ask for assistance). To top it all off when my husband and I got to the cashier to make our purchase they denied us, and said that we could not purchase, because my husband had his ID, but I did not. Beware: They ID everyone in your party(not required by law), whether they are making the purchase or not. Ive NEVER...I will not be back! Another lost customer!

The two sons (one of age, one just a week shy of 21) just returned from this store where they were harassed at the counter as they were trying to buy small varietals for grooms men. The younger one was asked to leave because he lacked an ID and the older one was refused to be sold too. Not sure when it was a crime to have underage people in a liquor store! Too bad as I liked this store--they just lost several customers because of this incident. And Yes I understand they have the right to refuse to sell, but they dont have a right to harass.

Seriously, this place sets the bar for customer experience. The staff is always willing to go above and beyond, they remember your name (well.......maybe that is because I am there all of the time!) The prices are great, they are always running great specials, and have just about anything you could ever want when it comes to spirits. I actually drive about 7 miles and pass at least 4-6 other liquor stores just so I can support this store! Great job Cornerstar!

They demand an ID from everybody in your party (not required by state law). If the non-purchasing individuals do not provide one, they will follow you into the parking lot and copy down your license plate. This happened to me, Im not making this up. Take your business to a non-fascist establishment. Hey Cornerstar, are you reading this? Youve lost a customer that spends hundreds of dollars a month of beer. Good riddance.

Went here to buy some Mexican beers, an $80 bottle of patron and 2 $20 cigars to be told that Ive been drinking too much, when I had one beer with my dinner at real DE minas. Not something that I would expect. I went to my neighborhood liquor store, broncos parkway liqours and spent half of what I would have here anyways. My recommendation would be not to become a patron here if you have a beer with dinner.

Beer selection is great. Service is pretty good, too. However, there are some things that are priced a little high and the selection of certain spirits isnt as good as you might hope in a store this big. If you are in the area and need something in a pinch its a solid option. However, depending on what you traditionally drink you might have to end up looking elsewhere for better selection and prices.
