I never rant and rave about stuff but I just wanted to say..... I just read all these reviews and couldnt help but laugh at some of these people that are talking about Madworld being so awesome, Ill start my rant now, me and some of my co workers went to Madworld on their opening night this year thinking it was going to be "Off the Charts" because their big time advertising theyve done with all their billboards and radio adds and such, but we got there and it looked really cool the way they had it all fixed up to look great and appealing but then we done everything they offered and was like "REALLY" that was it? Their advertising was where they obviously spent their money because the tour and all was horrible and Ill leave it at that ! Oh wait, AND THEY CHARGED US $5.00 TO PARK ! Wow. But now on to Nightmare Dungeon, me and my girlfriend went the night after we went to Madworld and as we were pulling up to the house we immediately said HELL YEA WERE GOING HERE !!! Their house is real, not fake walls put up like Madworld. It had the most creepy look ever then it was even more creepy when we had to drive up a creepy dark dirt road lol, There set up was awesome, more like a real movie set kinda I guess you could say. Nothing looked staged or fake, the house was glowing blue somehow Im assuming some kind of special lighting or something but it was amazing how it looked, but once we got in the house it was the same, very well laid out, not sure of the theme but it was crazy scary, and actors were everywhere! They have a freaking car there that almost hits you and holy crap, I Almost freaked out! It was nonstop scares, lasers, dark, super scary! The moral of my rant here is THIS HAUNTED HOUSE TOTALLY KILLS THE OTHER HAUNTS AROUND HERE ! We will go again before they close this year.

It honestly wasnt terrible. It was a bit pricey for what you got but I wasnt left totally disappointed. Ive read through all the reviews for this haunted and then I finally went. Dont listen to the owner about this being a wrong haunt the tour guide was actually that bad she really took away from the whole experience because she was shouting directions and rushing us through, I feel like she couldve been in character or shouted anything but a direction and it wouldve been ok but she did take away from the experience. The line was insanely long. There were only two groups in front of us when we got there but it took us nearly an hour and a half to get in. The outside was mainly unappealing and I assume they will have grounds characters on the busier nights later in the year but otherwise our long wait was mostly just the same repetitive music and a skeleton doing crunches. Onto the inside of the haunt I was honestly impressed, the construction was pretty good and surprisingly elaborate from what I could see. Unfortunately the lighting was just a touch too low because I couldnt make out any details on the masks or half of the rooms which was super disappointing because they looked really cool. I would say if youre on a budget and you are only going to one haunt pick a different one. The bang for you buck ratio was pretty low considering the price and quality of the now closed Nightmare on Pendleton Street, the varying zombie runs, the warehouse theatre haunts, or the spotty opening of Madworld, I understand that pricy 30 dollar fee is because theyre open literally every day in October and some of September but if youre not looking to go spontaneously on a random night just plan for one of the other haunts and save some money.

I really hate to do this because I think the haunted house would have been totally awesome, but the frigging "tour guide" was a horrible distraction. All I could hear was back against the wall, stop here, move here, swim like a fish, no backup, hold on to the person in front of you....OMG...Awful experience. She was so distracting that I really didnt even get to look at what was going on around me. If you are going to have a guide, the guide should stay silent and be there to guide you, maybe flash a little light, if you get lost. I have seen it work successfully at other haunted houses. If you want to go through this haunted house in relative peace, dont be the first person in the group. Not worth the money we paid.......oh yeah by the way, Im not from another attraction, I am a paying customer that went through with my husband this evening. Perhaps you should fire your so called researcher along with your tour guide. Maybe you remember having a conversation about the silo from last years haunted house and them wanting about 900k for it. Again, paying customer...that will be paying for the last time, thanks to adding insult to injury..............Adding another followup Sept 2017...so if I was wrong, why are you so excited to announce that this year, 2017, there will be no lines and your tours are guide free. Enough said.

You guys were so much better last year. The renovations were good this year, and getting rid of the tour guides was an excellent choice but overall we had a better scare last season. There was a lot of predictability. I dont want to give too many spoilers for others in this review. However, the owner is great. I love that he works the crowd and genuinely cares about your experience and wants you to review and come back. I would come back and try it out again. My biggest complaint is $30 for this attraction is high. Other area attractions charge that much and have 5 or so attractions. I have no problem paying for a good scare, but this one is a bit more than it should be. The group that attended this year is a seasoned group of haunt lovers that travel long distances. We traveled 2.5 hours to attend this attraction. This attraction has a lot of potential, and was very good last year. Im hoping our experience was just the kinks of getting started and it was opening weekend. I would come back and try again at some point. If easily scared I think one would enjoy this attraction.

Absolutely overpriced. Paid for "four experiences"....I couldnt tell you where one ended and the next began. Took all of ten or 15 min to go through "all of it" and it was all just one house with no discernible theme other than deafening noises. Trying to reconcile whats actually at this place with what the advertising says is like being in a parallel universe. The tour guide isnt even in costume or in character. Even the cheesiest of haunted houses makes that much effort. Cant believe how popular this place is. Was even more disappointed that I gave them money when I looked at reviews afterwards and saw how completely unprofessional the proprietor is in his responses. Normally would give a place another shot but after seeing that behavior I will not darken their doorstep again.

We went on opening night. We didnt have to wait long, until we were able to go inside the haunted house. There was also a flame eating guy outside keeping us all entertained! No tour guide made it even more better and scarier!! It was so much fun! We were screaming inside the haunted house and laughing so much when we finally made our way out of the house!! The actors were great!!! Really played their roles well!! The Owner is a great guy too. Cares a lot about his Haunted house and all those that walk through it too. He asked our opinions on the house and listened very attentively. I highly recommend this Haunted House!!! You will not be disappointed! We havent, and weve returned year after year!
