From the time I checked into this hotel for the weekend I was completely disappointed. I made reservation in the beginning of August for my wedding weekend. I booked a standard queen room for Friday and the booked a king leisure whirlpool suite for Saturday and Sunday nights. I explained when I booked the rooms that I would be transferring and asked if it was possible to have suite cleaned so that I could be in by 12 as my hair and makeup people were coming at 12:30. I was told this would not be a problem. Friday when I checked in, I was not given a queen room, but a kind leisure whirlpool suite which I had to pay for. The next day my new room was not ready and I was told it was smaller then my current room. Apparently they had the rooms switched. i decided to stay in the room I was originally in. Even though i had reservations until Monday, I was checked out of my room everyday and had to go to the front desk to have them reactivate my keys. I was supposed to receive a credit on my account as well which has not happened. Instead a hold of over $500 was placed on my account and a charge of over $300.00 has also been taken out of my account that I am currently fighting to get back. This was a pretty terrible experience. I couldnt believe that the only stress of my wedding day came from this hotel. They need to get their staff more training. Their customer service is completely lacking. Every time I approached the front desk, the person working was eating and not friendly at all. My brother had the same experience two weeks ago when he stayed here after his wedding. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone to stay at. The spa is great and the restaurants are good but the actual hotel was sub par considering it is supposed to be one of the best in the area. The only reason I gave it one star is because the room was actually really nice and Serenity Spa was good.

Recently stayed at this resort with my wife while in town for a wedding. I echo the sentiments of others here, if I am paying $199.99 (plus tax) per night, you better give me free wifi. Of course, wifi is an additional charge. The room was clean and ready on time. The AC unit in our suite was extremely noisy and the resort staff would offer no help on the problem. The in-room information booklet had the room service menu missing from it. We called down to the front desk and requested a copy be sent to our room. After waiting 30 minutes, we still did not have a menu. Finally walked down to the front desk to get one ourselves. On restaurant in the resort which is busy is their "knickers" pub.... everything else is a ghost town. As for the groom (who rented a room for his wedding night) yes, they were LATE having the room prepared for him and he was late to the church. All in all, nice place, but overpriced for the area and 2 star service for a 5 star price. Will not be staying at again.

Ive never stayed here, but I am a local photographer who was doing prom photos for a group of kids that were meeting here to eat and wanted to do the photos here. To avoid any issues I visited the hotel prior to the photo session to find out where we would be able to take the photos and not be in the way. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and nice, she showed me all kinds of beautiful places for photos that I would not have even known were there otherwise. She said I could take photos pretty much anywhere, just to be careful of flying golfballs if Im near the course. She even showed me inside options in case it rained on prom day. I loved the scenery so much I went back and did another photoshoot there later. Lots of different beautiful backgrounds all in one simple location! Its now one of my favorite places in York to shoot.

The hotel itself is great, but I truly believe that service is a big part of experiencing the hotel, and thats where they fall short. I literally had to chase down their sales people to let me PAY for a birthday party event. It is 1 day before the event, and I still dont have the agreement finalized....I can only hope theyll come through. Front desk answers "please hold" without checking in why you are calling - I was simply asking to be transferred to their sales department, but ended up on hold for 15 minutes. Overall, Ive never had to chase any sales people, and if I hadnt already told my family where the party is held, I wouldve cancelled the whole deal with this hotel.

I dont play golf, but I love the ambiance of the Inn. The restaurant/bar in the back is stylish. It has a hotel style feel [marble counters galore with HD flat screen TV] with the ease of staying at an Inn [fridge+microwave]. I do admit I was thrown off when I pulled up, it looked like a glorified comfort inn. Maybe some exterior facade lighting [sconses] would help. I travel here for business frequently and have stayed in many hotels and inns in the area and this one takes the cake. Oh! and the internet is actually high speed - 100Mbps through ethernet cable. Shopping is also close by. Highly recommend this one!

The hotel is "OK" but the Wi-Fi signal is terrible, it ask me to log in and as I wait for login page to load I lose signal for 2 minutes and the page wont load. Then when I finally got signed in, it kept bumping me off line bout every 4 mins for about 2 minutes. There was NO parking had to drive around the hotel 3 times. Thats ridiculous considering what Im paying for a room. They should have a separate parking area for hotel guest, then another area for the snow tubing which is open to the public. And rather bummed there no pool or Jacuzzi. Wouldnt come here again. Aint the worst, but isnt all the great either.

Customer service lacked on both the hotel side as well as avalanche express. We bought an overnight package with 2 days of snow tubing but Sunday was a compete wash out because of rain. Customer service was unwilling to offer any assistance and insisted the hill was open even though no employees were on the hill due to the rain. This was a huge disappointment for my family since they love snow tubing. Also included in the package was unlimited ice skating but because there is no rink guard hockey players pretty much took over the ice and would allow the other children to skate.

I attended a three day conference and the overall experience was enjoyable. The room was well maintained and the views overlooking the golf course were nice. The resort staff were very friendly and helpful. There are a couple of areas for improvement being that irons are tethered to the ironing boards and that it was an inconvenience to have to login to the Internet every 24 hours, both seemed inconsistent with the overall resort experience. But these are minor, and should not influence a decision to stay here as it was an overall enjoyable experience.

took my Mother there today for the Mothers Day buffet, it was the worse food ever, everything was cold and not much to chose from. The chicken was so dry I couldnt eat it. I ate the crab legs, they were cold, the butter was cold, the fish was cold, the mashed potatoes were cold, the breakfast food looked frozen, then they tried to add a 20% tip on my check for two people at a buffet. Our table was a half circle table, very uncomfortable. I will NEVER go there again. $33.95 a person and I am hungry
