Extremely rude staff. Prices crazy. The theater is really nice, comfy seats and clean. However everyone there was super rude. Girlfriend and I are both nearer 30 than 20. I have a beard and shes obviously not a teenager. Yet they forced us to show our ID before we could watch a r rated movie. Then we get in and a large popcorn and drink combo is $17!! The guy at the concession stand was just rude saying its 17 bucks.. UNLESS YOU WANT MORE. How is that to talk to someone? He then spend 20 seconds trying to get a topper on the popcorn bucket and when I tell him dont worry about it he ignores me and continues. The fun doesnt end there, my girlfriend has the tickets and hands them to the ticket guy who then demands she go and find me(18 feet away) even though theres just 3 people in the lobby... Gf, myself and him. Then he demands to dig through her purse for safety reasons. The theater is nice but this place has way too many snotty nosed teenagers working here. Not to mention they searched my girlfriend. We are well dressed, polite and dont look like gangbangers at all. Did he think we were sneaking in an uzi in her purse for our weed deal in the bathroom or something? Just really put off by the experience. This place obviously does not care about being polite nor customers second amendment rights.

I took my Grand Kids to the movie, Boss Baby on Monday April 3rd. There were 4 of us and my first complaint was that the tickets cost $28.50, which I could deal with because it is the normal When we bought a large Popcorn and 4 medium drinks, plus an extra $1.50 for Butter bringing the total to another $28.00 is when I couldnt believe it!!!!! How can a family Ever go to see a movie? That wasnt the biggest disappointment yet!!! As we were watching the movie the storm came through and knocked out the power____OK not their fault, but then they started the movie back with no audio and that went on for at least 10 minutes. Many people went out to ask about it so then they brought back the audio but never hit rewind so now we have missed about 20 minutes of the movie. Our money was never refunded to us or passes given to us!!!! It will be a long time before I go back again. The Biltmore Grande is close and as far as I know they dont charge for butter!!!!!! Who would do that???? At the BG theater u get a lot more for your money when it comes to snacks.. Everyone should try it, Epic needs to rethink their Management Ideas......

The inspection of purses for guns! The last time I saw a hand gun it was in a movie theater in Asheville, NC. The guys who was sitting in front of me carried it in to the movies in his pocket. And lost control of it, which means it fall to the ground and he picked up only after the movie was over. So at the Epic theater in Hendersonville, NC they check hand bags, when I asked Why? I was told, for candy and drinks. My next trip to the movies again hand bags were being searched, I asked why? And, I was told, for guns, I asked, but what if they have a gun permit. they would allow them to go ahead. Please note if they dont have a sign that indicates NO weapons are allowed They cant just check your hand bag, no probable cause. They have no right to search a hand bag. Men or more likely to carry a weapon than a women and a men will carry the weapon on his person. I said if Epic theater is attempting to protect the public their doing a poor job. Please someone stop searching women hand bags, and people if Epic is trying to keep everyone safe they need to do a better job.

I use to love this theatre, despite the over priced popcorn, candy and pop. Two things made me snap today, and me and my family and friends will never go to this theatre again.Today I had the pleasure of getting my bag searched. Im sorry but if a person is going to be bringing a gun or any other weapon inside, it will not be in a womans tiny handbag. They will have the weapon in their waistband of their pants or strapped to their body somehow. I know what you were really after, but you totally missed your mark, I had 2 bags of sweedish fish, a box of sour patch kids and m&ms, as well as 2 20oz cokes in my jacket.Another thing that happened today I spent nearly 50 bucks on tickets, and 40 bucks on popcorn and exrta drink. you want to charge me an extra dollar for a lid to my popcorn. Did i not pay enough already you want to charge me a buck so my popcorn can have a lid. So long epic theatres, you lost many valuable customers today.

Greetings! I have been going there ever since we moved here in 2007! My son and I love it. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I consider them friends. I would work there myself but already have two jobs. You can get points on your EPIC Theatre card, and/or you can buy an online account that charges you $30 a month for as many movies as you like within that month. This is a MUST for those who like to see terrific movies twice! Tuesday night is their $6.00 night and thats the best time to go. You wont be sorry. The popcorn is the freshest anywhere and the popcorn oil has coconut oil in it. We really enjoy the clean bathrooms and seats!

Bought tickets online to skip the ticket line (like Ive done many times with other theaters). NOPE---still have to turn into the ticket booth to get actual tickets. Defeats the whole reason I bought online! While I know movie theaters price gouge their captive audiences, $29 for two med size drinks, popcorns & candies was a bit much. I can certainly see why they had me open my purse before entering--they mightve left some cash behind!!! The movie experience (seating sound cleanliness etc) was ok but dont think Ill be back soon. Theres other options with cheaper concessions, better seating and I can skip the line by buying tickets online.

I go a lot with work. It clean and comfortable. The popcorn, candy, and drinks are wayyyyy overpriced. They do look in purses, which is irritating because men arent searched, just women with purses. Also, if you pay cash, they do not have the ability to give you a receipt, only if you use a credit card. What kind of sense is that? So every time I go for work, I have to go through this whole production getting a hand written receipt. Its 2016. Step it up Epic Theatre.

it is a typical theater. its the one we go to most of the time. They started doing something I wonder if other theaters are doing. Checking womens handbags for "security purposes". I find this an insult to my intelligence. I go into this movie accompanied by my husband with his big baggy pocket pants and a jacket with deep pockets, but they check my handbag looking for weapons? They are checking for smuggled in candy and goodies not guns.
