I honestly wasnt sure to give a 2 or a 3. With the price charged, it genuinely is not worth it. I gave a 3 because my 4 year old does enjoy some aspects. I had a membership that is ending next month but I will not be returning. He enjoys the outdoors water area to play in. He enjoys the ball section and the paper air plane shooter. He likes to go up and down the elevator they have. & thats about it. The touch center for the few animals they have is cool & they did seem to put decent $ into the small aquarium section. The problems I have? It is not worth the $. Literally so many of the displays do not work and many things are just older in appearance. This is not a new or well kept place. There is not even adequate sand in the dinosaur fossil excavation area & it is lacking in fossils to even find etc. & I am highly dissappointed with the fact they are bringing in some kind of history museum area. They got rid of the childs section for this which was my sons favorite, especially their train table and legos. The kids section has been moved to a tiny tiny rectangular shaped room and most of the toys are no longer there. All of the play food, the car table, the train is now more than half of what it used to be. The list goes on. The kids area literally sucks and is way too small. Oh and it says 3 and under only. Sorry but my son at 4 still does play with most of the toys in that room, he isnt there for their limited selection of science options. He is a 4 year old toddler who should be able to play trains, as most 4 year olds enjoy. It also is in a neighborhood that I dont feel vwry comfortable hanging out in. It is not a nice establishment. It is just a shame because it has so much potential and could be a place that people should stop at for sure as tourists. I would not recommend this place. I was disappointed before but now even more so, I wont be returning. My son makes the best of everything and finds something to enjoy there. He is so easy going and I dont ruin the experience for him but just... No. I highly recommend working on the dinosaur area and childs area. Providing more options and more space. Changing the age limits and updating equipment. I recommend adding cool science options, the ones now are so limited and again most genuinely do not work. If this place improves drastically, I would renew but highly dissappointed. Thats my blatantly honest review.

Half of the exhibits we went to were not working. The sting ray exhibit was closed because the lady up front said the weekend before there was an incident with a kid getting hurt. To top off no staff around we went over to the dinosaurs area and there was two double doors wide open and because this is supposed to be a hands on place we let our two year old walk with us and explore he started heading towards the double doors and thank goodness my husband seen the sign and I grabbed my son because those double doors was were the fire equipment and fuses and voltage boxes were!! I could not believe it! Two other children walked right in there!! Left wide open with the fuse box open and not one single staff person!! I will never step foot back in that establishment again! I expect my child to be in a safe environment when I bring him somewhere that is specifically geared for children!!

Truly has something for all ages and interests. Great facility with helpful staff. There are indoor and outdoor exhibits, a 3D movie theater, and a wonderful touch tank. I really appreciate the baby area, there are chairs to stop and nurse or just take a break. Everything is hands on and covers a wide variety of subjects, not just sea life. The building is handicap and stroller friendly. The building and bathrooms were super clean, even having lots of step stools around for tiny bodies. I was disappointed there is no hand stamp or wrist band to make sure every kids leaves with their parents. They offer AAA and other discounts. Reasonably priced, children under 2 are free. They offer special shows and events every month.

My boys, 4 & 6, had such a great time here we went back two days later. They have a lot of activities inside, not much outside other than a water table. Yes people are right that some of the stuff is older, but with all there is to do it is easy to look past that. Lots of visible science experiments to play with, mainly kinetic energy, some electric, fluid, and weather experiments as well. The touch tank is the only thing I wasnt a big fan of. It was far too deep for my 4 year old (their target audience) to reach the marine animals without getting soaked.

The place seemed mismanaged and not well taken care of. If you are trying to use your ASTC reciprocal membership, please expect that they will not honor the agreement as stated. It doesnt matter how much you try to point out that the organization they belong to means "free" admission. They are just not customer friendly and are a bad representation of their city. When asked by some people in the parking lot if they shoud spend the money to go in, my answer was a resounding NO. So many other fine places in and around this area to visit. Why go here?

We had a great day here! My 7,4, and 2 year old loved all the animals and sea life. The staff were all pleasant and good with the kids. Im surprised at the reviews saying it was run down. I found the museum well kept and clean. If youre expecting a science museum in a large city you will be disappointed but I thought it was great for a small city. My kids learned a lot about Florida wildlife. They also are a part of the Blue Star Family museum summer program and as a military family we are always grateful for museums who participate in this program.

Went here today with my four year old nephew, and Id say 95 percent of the exhibits didnt work, or were missing something vital to make them work. The reason Id give it one star is for the sting ray touch tank, but other then that it seems like this place hasnt been updated since I last went when I was four. Another point Id make is that it was severely over-priced. Thirty four dollars for two adults and a toddler? We could have went to the pet store and had more fun then this, we left after 15 minutes.
