Its been a tradition to see The Nutcracker here every year for Christmas! Love to dress up and see amazing performances. The outdoor strip of theaters sets the mood before you walk into the theater with your tickets which feels so special! Concessions, coat check, souvenirs, restrooms, and helpful staff. Make sure to get there early to check your coat, get a beverage, and find your seat. You may be able to get a picture with a performer after the show in the lobby or sometimes on intermission. Best place to park is the garage although when a show has ended it takes a bit of time to get out of the garage, but for a woman its better than walking blocks away in heels to find your car in hopes it wasnt towed. I cant wait to go back!

The theater is beautiful, but the seating in the area we sat in is awful. We bought nose bleed seats (level 4), so I wasnt expecting a great view, but the view was actually just fine. The problem was that the seats are so uncomfortable we were all miserable. The seats sit up high like bar stools and then there is a tiny spot that sticks out about 3" from the backs of the seats in front of you to rest your feet. So basically you are constantly kicking the people in front of you. Im 5-6" and I had a hard time reaching the foot rest, so my legs and feet kept falling asleep. Also, if you dont like to sit up super straight, Id recommend buying seats in another area to see if they are more comfortable.

We visited The Ellie for a Sigur Ros show and had an excellent experience. The venue was beautiful, with plenty of room between rows of seats (we didnt have to stand to let people pass by, although we typically did). There was a very short wait to buy drinks beforehand and plenty of staff to direct us to our seats and to keep people in line. The only negative was the extreeeeemely long line for the restrooms during the intermission - both mens and womens. I ended up just going back to my seat (luckily I wasnt desperate).

This is a great performing arts center. The seats are comfortable and the staff is friendly. They also have monitors on the seat that display which act is happening. The only problem was there were only three stalls available in in the womens restroom when I went. After the first act I ran to the bathroom and still ended up waiting the entire intermission. I feel bad for the women behind me because they couldnt get back to their seat on time. Note: go to the bathroom before getting there and youll have a great time.

Horrible seating. DO NOT pay the extra amount for box seats. You are paying to sit at the back of the theater. Brought upgraded tickets for 75/each. Just to sit at the farthest seat in the ground floor. Better off buying their regularly priced tickets. Ushers sat us incorrectly then moved us, we were embarrassed the least. Will not be going back. Ballet itself was great. Horrible venue.

Like most other reviews I found the seating terrible. No matter how inexpensive it is, I do not recommend sitting in the top balcony level, not because of the sound or the view, but solely because of the seats. They are the most uncomfortable seats in the whole place. That is saying something because none of the seats I have sat in have been comfortable.

This Opera House has shows of all genres. I have gone to a Ballet and an Opera and loved both! Even the highest section of seats has a great view. The staff is very friendly and helpful when finding your seats, the bar, or the restrooms. The art around the building is phenomenal to look at if you need to walk around during intermission.

This opera house is very well kept overall and has a modern feel outside the theatre proper. Inside the theatre has a really cool aesthetic with a retracting chandelier and great wrap-around seating. I think I prefer it to the Buell because such seating makes the performance feel more intimate.

One of our favorite places for a date night. Grab dinner and drinks somewhere in downtown, watch an amazing show...Great experience. Staff is awesome, they have a bar which gets really busy during intermission (pro tip, preorder your drinks and pick them up and avoid the line).

We visited Ellie Caulkins to see the Nutcracker in 2015. Please dont waste your money, the production was mediocre at best. The music, lighting, dancers, and overall performance was a complete bore. The 3 stars listed are for the Performance Hall itself and the staff.

Beautiful place! Dont think the staff was ready for crowd that RedBull Media House and MSP films brought, they were grumpy. And dont step over the seat in front you either, I believe the usher would have tarred and feathered me if she had her way.

Easy to navigate, thanks to the full staff of exceedingly helpful people. Clean environs with a very nice bar, and a delightful stage. Only complaint is the seating. Slightly small seats, and a little tough to navigate.

Alice in Wonderland ballet was a delightful fantasy, faithful to the storyline & satire. The Ellie Caulkins Opera House is a fine venue for this show. The sets, costumes, and dancers were enormously entertaining.

The space is STUNNING, a really cool looking venue. Plenty of seating where it feels like its impossible to have a good seat. And, you can order a drink to have it waiting for you at intermission. Great service!

Great seating options, even in the less expensive areas. For ballet, I recommend sitting in the mezzanine as you will more fully appreciate the movement and flow of the entire ballet. No need to sit too close.

Love the Ellie! Ive visited for various shows in the past, and most recently for TedXMileHigh. The Denver Center for the Performing Arts is so great -- what a wonderful resource to have in our community.

Beautiful location. I took my daughter to see The Nutcracker and it was wonderful. There wasnt a bad seat. The theme of the show took over the entire lobby and you were absorbed by the enthusiasm.

Beautiful facility with friendly staff. Great acoustics and not a bad seat to be found. The Nutcracker is a Denver must and going to the Ellie Caulkins is an essential part of that tradition.

Had a wonderful evening at the Nutcracker. Its a small, but really nice theater and the seating is excellent. Easy parking nearby. Just a really nice experience all the way around.

Went for a student showing of the Scarlet Letter, so I missed some parts and obnoxious kids had their phones on but otherwise had a good time. Not the establishments fault I guess

Went to see Steven Tyler and the auditorium was very nice. Parking was difficult as the spots were too narrow in the parking garage but overall not bad.
