The hotel is OK. Its convenient that there is a restaurant and its large enough to have rooms available. On the surface it seems very nice. We chose it because they accepted our pet and had official government rate rooms available. We first checked in and there was pet urine or something on the floor which I stepped in. We called and they sent someone to clean it with a vacuum which was useless. Then they said we could change rooms. We had requested a refrigerator which was in our room because I needed to store breast milk for our 6 week old so they said theyd have someone move it to our new room too. 4.5 hours later (10 p.m.) after 3 phone calls we finally got the refrigerator. Then another day we asked the housekeepers down the hall to come while we went to breakfast in about 15 mins. They came immediately while my husband was still in the shower, I wasnt dressed, was holding the baby, and had to hold the dog (who is gentle but she was scared of him). I tried to tell her we were hoping they would come when we left the room and took the dog out which would vmbe in just a few mins. She just stared at me and started stripping the bed down and cleaning then managed to tell me she spoke no english. I had to go out in the hall and get someone else to ask her to stop and come back in 15 mins. They said ok. So we go to breakfast and come back and 1.5 hours later they never returned and our bed was half tore up, etc. We had to ask someone to call housekeeping. 2 days later Im up with the baby at 4 a.m. and notice tiny little bugs all over the restroom. We killed 15 or so at least and called to tell them about it. They said we could move to another, more inconvenient room but it was 4 a.m. and we have a lot of stuff because we are temporarily living here & we knew them sending someone to help would take hours. We asked if someone could just come inspect and clean in the a.m. They said yes theyd notify the manager and call us. 9 a.m. nothing yet so we called them. 10 a.m. we told them it was OK to send someone up to look. They said yes of course we will send them. 11:30 a.m. and still nothing yet. The customer service has pretty much been awful and everytime we need something we have to ask repeatedly. There are a few more examples but I think you get the idea. If they stepped up the customer service it would be a nice place.

I was there yesterday for a special event luncheon. This luncheon was to be a special event for our organization. and our committee wanted to find a place that would make the lunch extra special. Unfortunately, what was sold them as a great variety of high level entrees turned out to be the usual pathetic hotel food and a big disappointment. Especially since they advertise themselves as a 4 star conference and events center. To start out with, the staff did not set up the correct number of tables for the number of attendees. Not our error – theirs. That was corrected, but after we had started the announcements. I feel the chef and his staff should be fired and find someone who knows what they are doing, if you are going to advertise yourself as being a 4 star level hotel. I had the Beef Stroganoff. First let me remind you Beef Stroganoff has mushrooms and sour cream in the sauce. No hint of either was there. What I had was beef in brown gravy over noodles. Tasted just like what Hormel makes and sells in the meat section of the grocery store. And there were no sides of vegetables(as advertised) – just noodles and the beef. The people who had the Chicken with Pesto… the chicken was so over cooked and dried out the lady next to me couldn’t stick her fork in it. Most of those went uneaten. The Pork Schnitzel with gravy had a 1 inch coating of fried batter before you even found the actual meat. That pork cutlet probably came from a bag of frozen ones dropped in a fryer. I didn’t ask others about their Tortellini (which probably was cooked from a frozen bag, based on the other meals). The salad was at least fresh. And the wait staff was fairly attentive. The cake was tasty – but was suppose to have a layer of raspberry in it – it did not. Just vanilla cake with frosting. Ho-hum. We are a non-profit organization. We don’t have a lot of money. For the cost of each plate that was a total rip off on your part. I feel we deserve a partial refund due to the mediocrity of the food alone. I would not recommend this place for anything special.

I would not recommend this hotel as it leaves a great deal to be desired. I stayed at this hotel the week of June 21 - 26 while I attended a conference. First, check-in was a 3:00 PM and it was 8:00 PM before our group of 10 was able to get into the room. After two days, the toilet in room 1544 began to back up. Attempts were made over 3 days to repair the problem but nothing worked, and my roommate and I could not be moved to a another room as the hotel was full. Finally, on Friday night, a room became available and we moved. The toilet in that room, 1421, was sluggish and the tub would not drain. As well, room 1421 was by the pool and a group of kids were so noisy I did not get to sleep until after 11:00. I had to be up on Saturday at 4:00 AM to catch a 6:55 flight back to NC. Awful! Over the week, the colleague I roomed with and I had to resort to using the public restrooms. On Thursday evening, we were up until midnight waiting for a maid to come and change the "clean" sheets that had been placed on his bed during the day as there was blood on the sheets. When I called to complain, I was told by the desk clerk that there had been several reports of this made to the desk the night before. Additionally, the entire time I was there (6 days), the hall was never vacuumed and the same packet of Sweet n Low stayed in the hall in the same place during the entire visit. I happened to be in the room one day when the maids cleaned and the cleaning was at best cursory. Our group coordinator was called by the managment and offerred a complimentary night because of the problems. One night was deducted from the bill, but it should have been two or three. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone...it has potential, bills itself as a luxury hotel, but when you have to use public restrooms because your room bathroom is out of order, thats anything but luxury! Wireless also costs about $10 per day or $44 for the week. Most places include this as an amenity.
