I am a concierge at a hotel in Avon, Colorado. I called the box office to ask if it was OK for a guest to bring an infant into the theater. The reservations agent checked, and her response was that it was fine as long as the patron realized they needed to exit the theater if the infant made a commotion. I spoke with the guests who understood and I purchased four tickets on their behalf. Part way into the show the mother of the infant took the child out to nurse. There was no commotion. In the lobby she was approached by the general manager who told her George Winston had requested that no small children be in the audience and told her it was not a good idea to go back into the theater, but she could watch the television. Her husband finally came out to the lobby, talked to the general manager who was not willing to issue a refund, and again stated the infant was not allowed back in the theater. The entire party left at intermission. The reservations staff should not have ever told me it was OK to bring an infant into the theater, and the general manager should have at least issued a refund for one ticket. Everyone should know not to bring an infant into this theater even if the reservations agent says its OK.

The Vilar Performing Arts Center is a unique and intimate space perfect for a variety of different shows, which are presented year round in Beaver Creek. It can be a bit tough to find if youve never been - take the escalator below the ice rink to access the theatre.

Gorgeous amphitheatre under the Black Ice rink in Beaver Creek. Totally enchanting and unexpected experience which is why it attracts such amazing acts and performances. I suspect performers feel more compensated by their own Beaver Creek experience and get-a-way.

I went to the Chris Botti show recently and was dissapointed with the excessive volume. He puts on a great show but obviously his sound crew is deaf and not in touch with the listening audience.
